I’m Nauseated, What Should I Eat?

I’ve felt sick to my stomach for the past three days. I’ve been taking my reflux medication, I’ve tried the apple cider vinegar, and I’ve been eating bland rice and veggies, but so far it’s not helping. I am not sure what to eat to settle my stomach, so I haven’t had anything all day. I would appreciate any suggestions but please keep the following things in mind:
*I’m strictly vegetarian (no meat, no fish, no chicken broth)
*I’m sensitive (but not allergic to) wheat gluten and dairy, so crackers make me feel worse
*I have acid reflux so juice, soda, and fruit make me feel worse
I’m sort of at a loss because most of what I’ve read says to drink milk to coat your stomach (which I can’t do) or eat dry crackers and ginger ale (also out). What would you eat if you were me?

My new tank – Young snakeheads, arowana, siamese tiger fish

My new tank set up for my 2 Siamese tiger fish, arowana and 4 Channa Pulchra . The plan is to remove the tiger barbs soon as were just to Mature tank before main fish plus its only a matter of time before the other will eat them! This will be their home for 6-8 months until I move and I can get room for a 6ft x 2ft tank :) I’m hope 2 snakeheads will pair up then i have a tank waiting for them to breed.

This is a video of my tank. its a Betta Lifespace 1000 fish only set up and I give you a guided tour of the cabinet / sump area. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy it.

What Else Could I Add To My Tank?

In my 260 litre tank I have 5 platys and 3 mollies, I would like to add a slightly bigger fish to my aquarium. Something the size of a dwarf gourami but not a dwarf gourami because I heard they can be aggressive. What could I add? Thanks.

What Kinds Of Plants Should I Get For Small Tank?

I have a 1.5 gallon aquarium that has a heater and a light, as well as airation. I was going to use the tank as an almost underwater garden, and I was wondering what kinds of plants should I put in there. Some of my ideas were small java ferns, anubias barteri var. nana, christmas moss, and cladophora balls. Once the plants were in place, I’d eventually get some snails to eat the algae (any suggestions on snails?). Thanks for helping. :)

Cycling Aquarium?

Question by Doak: Cycling Aquarium?
I have a number of questions about cycling an aquarium.

1. How often should I do water changes? Right now it is once a week 15-20% of the water. Every 4-5 weeks I do a 40-50% change instead of a 20%.

2. Does the product “cycle” help cycle the aquarium or is it disruptive to a natural cycle?

3. How easy is it to disrupt the aquarium cycle? Does one fish flake sinking to the bottom or somethin comparably minor release enough toxins to disrupt a cycle? Or does it take a really unobservant and clueless person to mess up the cycle?

4. Does a 50 gallon tank take longer to cycle than a 3 gallon? Taking into account there is a reasonable ratio of fish in each tank and a sufficient filter for each tank.

Thanks for everyones help on my previous questions my fish are finally looking good.

1. If you are cycling with fish you should do weekly water changes of about 25%. 40-50% is too high and should only be done if you have some sort of catastrophe going on in the tank.

2. Cycle products don’t really do anything. In my opinion they’re a big waste of money.

3. Changing too much water will disrupt the cycle. Fish food does the same thing as fish waste – it produces ammonia. Lots of ammonia in the tank is beneficial to the cycle but harmful to the fish. Also, it’s not possible to cycle an overstocked tank (think goldfish) because you can never get enough bacteria to break down the massive amounts of ammonia.

4. There shouldn’t be too much difference in time. The 50 gallon needs more bacteria but it also has a bigger filter. It generally takes 4-8 weeks to cycle any tank.

Columbian Sharks And Tank Size?

The fish I would like to add to a tank would be:
Columbian Shark (Silver tipped shark/STS)
Red tail Black shark (RTBS)
Bala shark
However, the Bala sharks I don’t think I will be getting. Because I’m tight on money I can’t afford to buy a big enough aquarium to fit all of those in since two of them are schooling fishes. If I could though what size would you recommend for all of them to fit in one tank (fully grown, 2 silver tipped, 2 balas, 1 red tail)? And please don’t say they need 3 or more, at least they have an extra buddy and not all alone. I think they are really sweet fish but I might not have the room for them.
I used to have an aquarium but when I moved to another neighborhood I gave it to a friend. I could possibly get it back. And I think its about a 50 gallon. Just as a starter for them till I can get another larger tank.
I would also like to possibly get a few loaches (very small ones.) I wouldn’t like to have a pleco though, that would definitely be too small for everyone. And they don’t do much as they get older.
Anyways here’s the main questions:
1.) Would 2 Columbian sharks do well together on their own or do they need more?
2.) Could I also fit a Red Tail Shark in there?
3.) What size aquarium would you recommend for them (RTBS and STS) once they are fully grown?
4.) Would 2 Bala’s do alright with RTBS and STS in there also? & what size tank again?
5.) I read that STS has to be in brackish water as they age. Is it completely necessary or can I leave them in freshwater? (reason being is because of the RTBS and Bala’s)
Any additional information or links would be greatly appreciated. :)
Thank you.
