Help! I Have Several Questions!?

Ok so I have had these questions for a while so I hope someone can help with some of it. Ok first I have a well maintained 55 gallon tropical aquarium and I have always wanted a green puffer fish and a fiddler crab. The puffer I hear can be aggressive but i really would enjoy one, so anyone with experiences with puffers with SMALL fish (neon tetras) give me your best info, same with the crab. 2nd i have 2 pearl danios and I know I have a male and female (due to the bloating of the eggs in the female) now I have been curious do danios have pair bonds? 3rd I have a separate 29 gallon tank with some fancy goldfish. Now when I bought one in about a day it developed some nasty white crud all around his eye! I think its a fungus of some type ive been told to separate him and give him a “salt bath” any other ideas? Will he or any of my other fish be at risk? please help!

Can I Introduce My Hamster To My Other 2?

I currently have 2 cambell’s dwarf hamsters living together in 2 crittertrail cages and a series of tubes. There’s never been any serious fights, just a few…spats when they first were introduced and when one accidentally wakes the other one up. I also have another cambell’s dwarf hamster who lives separately in a 20 gallon aquarium who is very territorial and has a tendency to chew on her bars a lot. Once you get her out of her cage, she’s a real angel, and hardly bites. I try to spend as much time with her as I can, but I can only spend so much time with her. What I was thinking was since it’d be really easy to connect the 3 cages, would it be a good idea to introduce the 3, possibly in a playpen with different parts from each of the cages, so each of them would feel comfortable, so that my one hamster will have more things to do, and have hammymates to live with? Any concerns/tips?

How much is “high amount of light” for aquarium plants?

Question by Misaki: How much is “high amount of light” for aquarium plants?
For medium to high amounts of plants.. I want to know what exactly it means by high to medium.

I have the fish tank in a place where it can get indirect sunlight from 3 angles. This only applies during the mornings until the afternoon, though. So does high amount of light mean I should keep the lighting IN the tank turned on even when it’s already getting indirect sunlight or do I wait until the indirect sunlight decreases for me to turn on the light just to continue the lighting process?

I was told not to have the lighting IN the tank on for more than 10-12 hours due to algae problems.

I have anubais but they’re not enough to fight off algae so I was thinking of getting a fast rate growing plant. The only problem is they usually require medium to high amounts of light. In this case, how much is “high” (or medium)?

medium is 10-13 hours
high is 13-16 hours
make sure you have a very strong and bright bulb preferably 6700k.

Kind From Birth, Turned Into Sadistic Beast?

I wasn’t born a sadist… I was made into one after birth… Due to all the circumstances I face as I age each year… Started from beheading ants, to roaches, to feeder fish (fish that are used to feed bigger predatory pet fish), to mice, to snakes, now finally reaching people… I mean, I won’t kill anybody, I know the law, and I don’t want to be convicted… But I fantasize about killing my enemies most of the day… Just imagining then begging for mercy just makes me high… Just imagining their blood drippping out of their horrible heads makes me feel great… But once I snap out of it, the sad feeling comes back… People who know me have noticed my change… I too have noticed my change but cannot do anything about it… Maybe I don’t want to… But I think this is wrong and unhealthy… I am indecisive to whether I should stop or just stay there… I seriously can feel the evil aura around me getting stronger each day… In front of my family I am all cheerful coz I don’t want them to worry too much… But alone, I am just a sick, sadistic bastard, forced to be like this under the cruel circumstances I face in this horrible world… I am looking for advice…. Maybe I’ll heed them… But it just depends on my will power… I can’t seem to type this word but I need this from you guys out there reading this… prcj for me… I can’t type it out… It’s just too hard…

What Should I Do? Fish Tank Cleaning?

I recently got 3 neon tetras. I have been experimenting with how much food to give them. I have apparently been overfeeding, and there is a collection of fish flakes at the bottom of the tank in the gravel. Is it really urgent that I clean the flakes out of the gravel or can it wait a few days. Also, will neon tetras eat the food at the bottom, or does that just go to waste.
My neons keep having trouble staying at the bottom of the tank. They have to keep swimming down. Is this from overfeeding?
Advice or suggestions?

polyester batting that can be bought cheap at any fabric or craft store. Be sure to rinse it well before use!
