My betta fish has been around for almost 2 years this december. I’ve noticed that his color has faded and he looks more black. His fins look closed and clumped together and his stomach looks slightly swollen. He seems to be swimming around in his take still but every now and then i’ll see him sitting at the bottom of the tank for a while and that worries me. He still seems to be making bubbles and breathing fine… not abnormally aggressive or anything… still eating ok, about 3-4 pebbles in the mornings and evenings (says the food directions). hmm… I clean is tank about every week or sometimes every week and a half. I put cool/room temp water with water conditioner stuff for tap water and 2 small pebbles of aquarium salt. Is he just getting old or is he actually sick? I can’t tell…
