Yet Another Tank. Is This One Good?

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Tetra-5-Gallon… . I know I will need a heater, so my budget of 30$ will be slightly broken, but that’s okay. Is this tank good? Does anyone have experience? Is the current to strong for a good sized Betta fish? Any more advice. This is for a gift. Thanks!

Can You Get Sick From Not Washing Salmon Before Cooking?

I made two pieces of salmon for dinner last night (one for me, one for my roommate). We bought our pieces of salmon at the grocery store at the same time but my piece was cut fresh and his was pre-cut and on display at the fish counter.
This morning my roommate told me he woke up at 5am and started puking.
I now remember I never rinsed the salmon off before putting it in the oven. Could this be why he got sick? I didn’t get sick though. Should I throw the leftovers of my piece away? There’s like 1/2 a pound left

Q&A: At what age do cherry shrimp “color up”?

Question by freshbliss: At what age do cherry shrimp “color up”?
I have three in my tank – when I got them they might have been a third of an inch long – I dont know how old they were – I’ve had them a few weeks now, and they are probably two thirds of an inch long (hard to tell, they wont hold still next to the ruler, ha ha) I was just wondering….I thought they would have more red to them by now….

Any ideas?
Two have narrow red stripes so far….just wondering how long the process takes out of curiousity

Very soon after hatching, females will become a bright, cherry red (can you tell by the name?), however, males will stay a translucent pink color throughout their lives. If you think you have all males, look for shrimp with a pink/white line along their back (head to tail)– those are females.

Gym?work Out Routine? Help Please?

Alright well let me get so some key points first.
Im 17, I have an athletic build. Im a Senior in High school, on the varsity swim team.
Im asthmatic ( Have it completely under control, it does however limits me from going all out sometimes)
Im only in “shape” because I swim alot with team. Double practices 5 days a week.
Resistance work out (shirts, shorts etc for drag )
But never in my entire life have i lifted any weights or gone to a gym.
I want to make it to state this year, so i got a membership at a local gym.
But then i realised, i dont even know how to work out.
My goals are to get a BALANCED build in general.
Can anyone advice any good work out routines that you have developed or have recieved good result from.
As an added bonus I want a sick pack lol. I already have like a two pack :p of sorts if I flex
Also I eat VERY HEALTHY, I gave up on soda and anything with high fructose corn syrup about 6 months ago.
I have no had ANY fast food in over a year.
I cook everything myself.
My diet consist of at least 3 servings of fish a week, 2 servings of chicken, and no more than two servings of red meat a week.
They are usually acompanied by brown rice or enriched long grain white rice, Steamed veggies, mash potatoes.
Breakfeast consist of Tea, Oatmeal, grits and every once in a while some Eggs ,Toast and bacon.
SO i think its safe to say I meet all my dietary needs to start working out.
SO any ideas ? Thanks I would apreaciate any help.
My msn is lildemonboy@hotmail.com if you think you can proviced more advice over chat than yahoo answers

I Keep Seeing People Say That 1 Inch Of Fish Per Gallon Is Outdated?

I keep seeing this all over Yahoo that one inch of fish per gallon is outdated, but they never tell you how many fish you should keep in a certain tank. Every marine biologist I have spoken to has said that it is 1 inch of fish per gallon of fresh, and 1/2 inch per gallon in salt. Are they outdated? I just spoke with one yesterday and he said that the rule still stands. So where is this other information coming from, and if it is bogus about the fish rule having one inch per gallon ect…., how many fish should you be keeping in oh lets say a 10 gallon aquarium? If the experts are still using this rule, then why are others doubting it?
