Aquarium Gravel Help.?

Hey guys
I have been planning to add gravel to my tank. I received some that was
used and I accidently left it soaking in tap water while I was cleaning it. I
left it there for about a week or so. Because I am currently used bottled
water for my aquarium, I dont have de-chlorinizer. I am worried that the
chlorine has been absorbed into the gravel, so I left it out in the sun,
with Aluminium foiled to try to get rid of the Chlorine. Is this an effective
way to do so? How long until I can add the gravel back to the tank
without harming my fish because of chlorine poisoning?
*side notes*
I am trying to cycle my tank. (this is day 5)
I have one betta in order to speed up the cycle (because of their hardiness)
The gravel is colored.
Thank you for your time :)

I don’t use powerhead anymore….because i think any tank under 80gals very don’t need tham.because thay are just too powerfull alot of fishes can’t handle end-up blowing all over the tank..i used to have a 250 gals tanks running 2 powerheads on both side at the back blow to the front and 4 Mugnum 350 to keep it clean , powerhand is for under gravel filler and while u don’t need air pumps.
For u 165+105 gals=270 gals and /46gals water=moving all the water almost 6x’s an hour and mosty water need to be filer from 5-15x’s an hour.
if u want to use tham…. i will put tham at the back of both side and thay blow to each other .so it will not move the water so hard and blow the fish all over the tank

Why Does My Dragon Goby Keep Coming Up For Air?

Ive had this fish for months now. Ive kept him in brackish water.
Recently he has been going to the corner of his tank in a vertical position taking “gulps” of air for lengthy periods of time.
I dont understand why he is doing this.
A few days ago when i cleaned his tank he jumped out of the fish net right before i put him in his tank. I dont know if he hurt himself. But he did start doing all of this after he fell on my floor.
I did pick him up within 10 seconds of him jumping.
Please help me out with this. I need to know if hes okay? Or if hes gonna like die on me?

Mopani Wood In 2.5 Gallon Betta Tank?

Hi everyone. I’ve been keeping bettas for a while now, but recently I’ve really gotten into the idea of planted aquariums. Therefore, I’ve been keeping a few nice clumps of java ferns, a couple of marimo balls, and bamboo stalks in my two 2.5 gallon aquariums. I have a heaters for both the aquariums since it can get pretty cold in Cali during the winter. I DON’T have a filter though… because I literally can’t stand the noise of it. I’ve tried about three different filters and all have succeeded in making me want to tear my hair out. Therefore, I just put extra work into water changes and cleaning and the such.
Anyway, I was wondering what effect mopani wood would have on my 2.5 gallon tanks. I have read that bettas love tannins… and the whole deal about the wonders of indian almond leaves. I am just apprehensive because my tank is unfiltered so there is no way to remove tannins continuously. ALSO because my tanks are so small the tannins could build up pretty fast. So I was just curious-
Can mopani wood overdose small unfiltered tanks with TOO MUCH tannin?
Is there anyway if I were to add mopani wood to keep this under control?
Thanks in advance for the advice!
