the aquarium size is:
2ft. 6in.long 1ft. wide 1ft. 6in.high 30g to 35g
I haven’t purchased any yet
and these
Plants:
Dwarf hair grass
duck weed
Brazilian Pennywort
bogwood

So since she was a puppy she would always scratch herself. always. first it started at her ears, then moved to her arm pits. Well, i just recently went away for the summer, and my mom had her, and she is scratching her whole body now!!! its all grey, and purple, and whitish, and some pink, and she is always bleeding somewhere!!! always.
and all the vets have told us is that she has allergies. well, i thought it was her food, we tried changing that, but she got super sick.
so now i’m starting to think that she had got an ear infection when she was younger, and then ended up being allergic to the bacteria, or whatever is in her ears.
please help, im so lost, i love her to death.
ps. we do give her 1 benadril and 3 fish oil pills a day.(recommended by the vets)

How Can I Convince My Mom To Get Me A Red Spotted Newt?

I really love the little guys. The red efts (the first stage) crawl around our backyards everywhere, and they are adorable and, from what I have read, easy to maintain pets.
I would like to have two of them, so they wouldn’t get lonely, and they would both have to be male or both have to be female, so they wouldn’t breed. I have a ten-gallon tank in my garage that my brother used for fish a long time ago: I would be willing to clean it and set up a spot in the garage, where it’s cool enough for them, to put the tank. I’m guessing they’re around 15 dollars each, maybe less, and I have the money for it plus extra for gravel and food. I can pick moss and things in my backyard, since I know this is an environment they live in, and I’d be willing to set up and clean the tank.
The things is, my Mom is vegan and so am I, and she is wary about getting the insects for them to eat, but I’m fine with it.
I’ve researched it a lot: I know they are finicky eaters in the first stage, and I would be patient with it and get them the food they need, and I know they turn aquatic and I would change the tank for them (they only need a 10-gallon tank for less than three, so it would be fine).
Any suggestions on how to convince her? She also thinks they are cute.
P.S. Would it be okay to take two of my from my backyard and domesticate them, or should I buy them?

Can I Reuse Plants And Rocks From A Sick Betta Tank That Died From Ich And Fin Rot?!?

I had Romeo for two weeks. He was in a two gallon with rocks two awesome fake plants and a snail. I found some snail eggs in the tank and went to get them out but used the sick net instead of my clean net. I noticed a day latter Romeo had ich and bought some betta revive. The ich looked like it went away but instead he got fin rot. I changed his water everyday with bowl buddies tablets and betta revive treatment. He died a week latter. I have a community tank that is doing really well and was wondering if their was any way I could keep these fake plants and or rocks. One is a string/cloth plant while the other one is plastic. Also will community fish such as platies and mollies eat hikari betta food as maybe a snack? Or be able to use the betta tablets on a one gallon sick fish? Thank you so much, I know this is maybe a little long.

i was thinking:
1 male betta(i have plastic plants though)\
3 ember tetras
1 snail
and 5 pygmy cories: are these hardy? i have my gravel is somewhat pointy but smaller then a marble. maybe the size or a pencil eraser. I love these guys!
tommorow im getting the fish, so how shouldi introduce them?(it has cycled for 2 weeks) i was thinking first the betta and the snail. my parents say only one-2 fish at a time to see how i do. i ve never had fish before and will be cleaning it every 2 weeks, filter every month. thanks

Protein Skimmer Questions?

I have currently been running a skilter filter on my 26 gallon Bow front saltwater aquarium. I recently (tonight) just added an Instant ocean sea clone 100. I have read reviews about people not liking this unit, no getting any foam ect ect. My questions is i am getting a lot of foam, adjusted the air valve as directions stated, but it is putting a lot of air bubbles into my aquarium? Is this because my aquarium is dirty or do i have to much airflow. I adjusted it to where there is no air bubble in the line. i am already collecting the dirty yellow water in the cup.
Any ideas why there is a lot of air bubbles being pushed back into the aquarium? Will this clear up?
