A friend of mine recommended for me to get trumpet snails for my aquarium, though he didn’t explain if freshwater is safe for them. I found a couple of sellers on ebay, and one who sells 200 snails but states that their only for salt water, while other sellers state that they’re for fresh water aquariums. So what’s the deal?
I have live plants and barely 2 plecos in my aquarium to help with the algae. I use to have a 10 year old pleco that grew to be like almost 15 inches long b4 he died, so I know the plecos will be fine. The substrate is sand.
How many snails would be sufficient for a 100 gallon tank?
