I was checking my 55 gallon tank today and noticed there were some little pinkish orbs floating around the “dead” (little water flow) areas of my tank. I have two occelaris clownfish, one valentini puffer, and two emerald crabs. From what I have read, I believe these are the results of the clownfish spawning. However, I am a bit concerned because I have only seen them lay eggs on a surface and they are not free-floating, like whatever is in my tank. Also, is it possible that the eggs are the result of the puffer or crabs?

I have been subconsciously trying to breed my clowns ever since I got them but assumed it would be too difficult! Now lo and behold there are some eggs!

I imagine the eggs free floating can’t be a good sign (the puffer has also been making a meal of any that come out of the corners). How can I be more successful in my endeavours next time?
