how often should i do a water change, and how much?

well its a 37 gallon fish tank that’s has,
1 blue groumie
1gold dust molly
2 rasboras
6 neon tetras
3 corry cats
1male betta
1 male guppie
2plattys
1zig-zag eel
1hill stream loach
2sissor tails
2black skirt tetras
1molly
don’t tell me to upgrade cause i already went from a 20 gallon to this 37 gallon tank, so i did what my previous answers said. i want to do water changes, but my dad keeps telling me its bad cause the ph water is so high, and like really high. so i use chemicals for ph down(which hardly work i will say). he says i shouldn’t but its crucial to do it with to many fish right? and the plants are affected my the ph i am afraid to say, but the fish are not so at least its some what good.
ps: i know some of these fish are schooling fish and i don’t have enough, but i do not look forward to getting more fish that i do not find to much interest in, like the rasboras. cool fish but once they pass i wont get more of them.
Fishboy ty for the info. all though all my fish get a long, but the male guppie is kinda mean to my platty. the groumie and betta although related they normly not near each other. and guppie and betta are normally never near each other and the betta is to busy looking at its reflection. with the ph are total ph water is high, like our drinking water and all that is high, so ya. the plants are dieing cause of it. well the amazon swords are.

I have a huge fish tank, my miniature shark is pregnant, the fish guy is away, what to do with the babies?

I have never had a pregnant fish before, am afraid the others will eat or harm the new shark babies … any suggestions on how to manage this will help.

Is a 2-gallon tank a good size for a betta or other?

I currently have a 2-gallon aquarium with a whisper flter, light, plants, and stones) on my desk at work. I currently have my 1″ fancy tail goldfish in there, but learned he needs more room so I’m putting him in a bigger aquarium at home.

I’d like to keep the 2-gallon tank going at work. Would this be good for a betta? If not a betta, what other fish/non-furry creature can I put in this tank and how many?

Thanks in advance!

Suggestions when moving with a fishtank?

I’ll be moving soon and I have one 5 G tank with a betta and a 20 G with 2 cherry barbs and 3 tetras and one small pleco (I haven’t restocked since some have died because I knew I was moving so I don’t need the “Tetras are schooling fish” lecture. lol)
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how to go about moving my tank without stressing my fish into oblivion. Also, when I place them into bags for the move, should I use an air bubbler to fill the bags with oxygen?
I am moving about an hour and 15 minutes away from my current location.

Number of fish for 30 gallon tank?

I have never been good with working out the stocking for my tanks soo…

Current fish (all fully grown):
– 1 x Opaline Gourami (male) 4in
– 2 x Bumblebee Catfish 4.5in and 3.5in

I want to add more Opaline Gourami (maybe 2 females to keep the male away from other fish).

Is it ok to add some Honey Gourami (2in) and if so how many would be the max? If Honey Gourami are not suitable with the Opalines has anyone got any other suggestions?

This is not going to be just one question. I just set up a fish tank and i am looking for loads of information?

There is one crownfish beta, he is a male. And 2 small water frogs. They are all in the same tank and seem okay for now. At first, the 2 frogs were in a very small square tank for almost 2 years, and then i got a new 2 gallon tank, and put them in it along with the beta i bought yesterday. The tank was nice and clean when i went to bed last night, but now it is cloudy. WHY? Also, my cousin insists i keep them on a light schedule, where i have their light on during the day and turn it off at night. Is this correct? How should i use their light? And the bottle of pellets i bought for them, i gave them some yesterday and this morning. My beta doesn’t seem to like them, and my frogs haven’t eaten any, but they don’t eat as much and as regularly as the beta. Also, how many times a day should i be feeding the beta? Should i get a snail to put in the tank to help keep it clean?

I am very very new at this and would like to know exactly how to care for my beta and water frogs carefully. Please give me as much info as possible. Thank you.
