Hi! I am going to get a 10 gallon tank with 5 Male Guppies and a Zebra Nerite Snail. Here is what I will be doing, and I just want to make sure everything is right.
1. I am going to cycle the tank for about 2 weeks and test the water perimeters. I will also be using some of the decor and gravel from my 4 gallon tank that has been cycled and running for a month, to speed up the process. (I used to have a betta in there)
2. Like I said, I am going to get 5 male guppies, but if everything is doing okay then I may add 1 more.
3. I am going to give my snail Algae Wafers. How much do you recommend? Should I break it up?
4. I can feed my guppies a little after 3:30 and then again at night…does that sound okay?
I’ll be giving them tropical fish flakes and bloodworms as a treat
5. I’ll set my heater to 76˚F
Did I miss anything? Does that all sound good? This is my first time owning guppies, and I just want to make sure I have everything right. Thanks!
I’m going to have all males because I can’t have breeding in such a small tank! and yes, I have a filter.

^^^ sorry i dont know why i posted twice!
I currently have 4 small fish tanks (1 gallon to 2.5 gallons in size). I currently have three male bettas and one platty. I know that the male betta fish cannot be in the same tank but I would like to get a larger tank (maybe 20 gallon plus in size) and keep one of the male bettas in the tank with a the platty and maybe a few other small community fish.
My question is how hard is it to take care of a larger fish tank and does it cost a lot of money?
I have a 46 gallon tank and im tired of HOB filters failing me when it comes to filtration. So im buying this canister filter. You all think its good? Is it really better than a HOB filter? What about stocking heavy?

I know what you are thinking, and I don’t want to adopt one to live with me. My sister is really fascinated by them, and I thought it would be cool to adopt/sponsor one in her name for her birthday (for a girl who has everything else). They have programs at zoo’s and aquariums, etc. where you can pay to adopt an animal for a year and they give you pictures of them and update you on whats going on with them.
I have searched everywhere, and I can’t find anyone who has HAMMERHEAD SHARKS. Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks
I’m in California, it’s not necessary for the shark to be in California but it might be cool if she can actually go see it in person.
Any help is appreciated.
I checked out the website and that seems like the coolest ever! They even got a whale shark! WHOA! Has anyone been there? How cool is it? Is it worth driving from VA Beach to “sea”? lol
I just recently put a Bamboo Shark in my aquarium, and he has been digging constantly. The Rocks are Secure, but when will he stop digging?
Also how to I get him to start feeding, I have pre-packaged food for him and I have a stick. I put it in front of him, and he is interested, but doesn’t eat it. Could it be because there is a Niger Triggerfish who eats it too?
He also doesn’t want to eat…
