I’m worried, should I put my guppy back in the other tank?

To those of you who answered my question, thank you, but I still need help. I’m going to post my previous question in hopes that more people will give me some help. I’m worried because she is staying up near the top of the water and not swimming now. Should I just move her back to the other tank? Thanks!

put my female guppy in a 10 gal by herself last night because she is pregnant. The water was fine last night and earlier this morning. Now the water is cloudy. I did feed her this morning but only a few flakes. There is no ammonia in the water. She is staying up near the water line. Any ideas? Also, the tank is not newly set up, it’s been running for about a month. Please help! I may have to put her back in the community tank if she stays this way. ;o(

It’s not dirty but If I should do a bit of a water change I will.

I had fish in it before and it was never cloudy. I had 2 guppies in it for a couple of weeks and only took them out last week. Just decided to put the one back because she is getting big.

Actually I did have fish in there up until 2 days ago. I had the 2 guppies in there but took them out last week to add some fantail goldfish. The goldfish were in there less than a week. I tested the ammonia before I put the guppy back in there and just now and no ammonia….ah. I don’t want to lose her.

I just did a 10% water change. Is that enough? How come she isn’t swimming around? I think the cloudiness is affecting her.
I wouldn’t be as concerened with the cloudiness except for the fact that she is not swimming around like normal and is staying at the top for air. There is no ammonia, I already tested it.
Okay, well I went ahead and put her back in the community tank. I couldn’t bear to look at her. I added floating plastic breeding grass and 2 more fluffy plants on top of the 8 other plants and one hide-away I already had in there. I really don’t want her to have the babies in there but I don’t know what else to do. ;o( oh well.
if the water clears up in a couple of days maybe I’ll try putting her back in there and putting another female guppy friend in there too. Sigh…
I already have the small breeders that float but I don’t want to put her in it because it causes more stress. Since I put her back in the main tank she has been extremely happy and active. Sadly my other tank is still cloudy.

Can I put 2 male bettas together if the tank is big enough?

Hello. I bought 4 male bettas from the petstore and have them in seperate 1/2 gallon bowls. I also have a 20 gallon tank with 2 mollies and 2 platies in it. But I have to give some back or put them in my 20 gallon tank one since my parents said they don’t want me to keep them seperatly(I’m not sure why. mabye they think it will just be eaiser that way. I don’t know). I wanted to keep at least 2 but I didn’t want to keep them in their tiny bowls. So I wanted to know if I could put 2 of them in my 20 gallon tank.

Would they fight or would they be OK since they have their own space?

How big would a tank have to be to keep 2 male bettas together?

Could I keep more than 2 in a 20 gallon tank?

AND PLEASE DON’T TELL ME TO RETURN ALL OF THE BETTAS AND GET NEW COMMUNITY FISH BECAUSE I DON’T WANT ANYMORE. AND DON’T GIVE ME THE WHO LECTURE ON HOW BETTAS ARE FIGHTING FISH BECAUSE I ALREADY KNOW OK. I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT I ASKED!!!!

Thank you for your answers:D

How Do You Know If Your Goldfish Is Definitely Dead…?

…I know that they usually float on it’s side and not move – but sometimes it can be because you have fed them too much. I want to make sure before I take it out of the tank, but it’s kind of on it’s side now floating at the top. It did this yesterday, but I tapped the tank and it continued to move. It hasn’t done this today, thanks! I know it’s just a fish but I’ve had it for ages, and I am very sad :(

Thankieeees again, x

how often should I do a partial water change?

I have a ten gallon tank with two goldfish in it. I do have a filter, and I do about a 25-33% water change each week. Is this too much? Too little? Too often?

I’ve had my goldfish for a while now, and it seems to be keeping my fish happy. I do plan on getting a bigger tank, so please don’t comment on that. I just have to save up for it, and they haven’t outgrown their current one yet.
craig, I said that I was planning on it, but thanks for making sure I would. It irritates me when people keep goldfish in a little bowl.

My boyfriend wants to give me his Bichir (dinosaur eel) fish?

My boyfriend had a 25 gallon tank to begin with, and got a Bichir fish, who he named Spike, first before anything else. He then bought two cichlids since then. At first, they played nice because they were getting used to each other and the Bichir is the same size length wise as the biggest cichlid (a Jack Dempsey). He now wants to give me his Bichir because the Jack Dempsey has taken over the tank and attacks everything that moves. He’s afraid that Spike isn’t going to survive like that much longer. He’s become attached to him, and wants to see how long he will grow.

At first I couldn’t take him because I have one 125 gallon tank that now has baby Platys in it, so that’s out of the question, but I have another tank that my dad gave me that looks like it could be about 35 gallons. He could live happily in there, but since he is used to eating feeder fish and cichlids would attack him, what else could I put in there with him?

How big should my bunny cage be for two?

I have one female Californian I believe and she’s 7 weeks old. I do intend to get a male around the same age or a little older and I’m curious how big does the cage need to be for two bunnies?

I want a long ways cage, not a high one. If that made sense. I want the cage to be long and tall, but more long than tall. Kind of like a 55 gallon fish tank. That’s what I mean by long. Just an example!

Every thought helps! But I’d like an answer for those that are experienced.
Thanks.
