i just bought a 7″ red oscar from petsmart in my 55 gallon tank with my convict, anyways, my male convict keeps bothering and nipping at the oscar’s fins. so then i putted the convict in a 5 gallon bucket, and now the oscar after 2 hours in the tank by his self is acting very lethargic and barely swims., NOW how am i supposed to move the convict to the oscar’s tank, because he is very outgoing and gets adjusted to the tank in a few minutes…., and then he starts biting the oscar!! im so depressed.
+ i have two 6″ goldfish in a 20 gallon tank because im gonna move the goldfish to a pond as soon as possible
o i forgot the oscar is about 3 or 4x bigger than the convict, and there IS enough oxygen in the tank i have 2 8″ air stones, and a 60 gallon filter that aerates the water very well, because my tank water level is low so it makes a splash and good filtration when it lands on the water ….
help i really like predatory fish Even if it is alone? i don’t have much space to have a large aquarium right now so please help think about it? or any tips or advice. because i like to feed insect or small lizard or rat and other fishes
how long do they last for my fish sadly had a disease witch caused the to die!:( the disease was called white spot something to do with the tank!,i brought the fish on Tuesday and they died as soon as i got home but in the pet store they said some of their fish had white spot so i gaverd they did we did nothing wrong btw!!!!! so HOW LONG WOULD BLACK MOOR FISH LIVE FOR WITH PROPER LOOKING AFTER ? AND WHAT OUTHER FISH CAN YOU MIX WITH THE BLACK MOOR LIKE GOLD FISH TYPES COLD WATER FISH BTW! thank u x
The only reason that we can’t have a different kind of pet (Ex: dog, cat, bird.) is that my autistic older brother is afraid of animals. A fish is the only kind of animal that he is NOT afraid of.
My mom always says that we can’t get a pet because of Nicky (My OBWA- Older brother with autism) or that we don’t have the money, or that she doesn’t want to take care of it during the weekends that I am at my father’s house (My parents got divorced when I was in 1st grade, and my Dad lives approx. an hour away). That is why I chose a fish.
I babysit, so I can afford to pay for the fish, the tank, the food, ect.
I know that fish can go without being fed over a weekend (My 5th grade teacher had fish that went without food EVERY weekend, and days when the fish-feeders forgot about them.)
Because of my old dog, she knows that I am responsible enough to care for it.
What should I do?????

I have enough money to buy one of those automatic fish feeders….. Wait, how much do they cost???
And if she says YES (which I highly doubt) what kind of fish should i get?
