Mr Pink – The Lyretail Anthias

The first member of the new 90g tank was a Lyretail Anthias. He was first in after the cycle was complete and is doing quite well now. Very nice fish, although a bit tough to get eating and likes to be fed 3-4 times per day. Good thing for the autofeeder. :-) Very neat fish though, also very calm and cool with other tank mates. Highly recommended for a community tank if you have an autofeeder.

Should I leave my aquarium light on over-night?

We just bought an aquarium for our boys and five gold-fish… the tank has a light in it (full-spectrum, according to the box) and we’re wondering if we should leave the light on over-night or not.

is there anyway to keep sand from getting in my aquarium filter?

i have an 8″ puffer fish & he fluffs the sand around & it gets into the filter…. it broke my filter the other day i think, is there any way to get the sand to stay ouf of the new filter so this one doesnt break?

Fertilizing a 300g aquarium?

I really want to go real plants and I am more than willing to pay around $1500 for a complete lighting and CO2 system BUT the problem lies in the fertilizers and maintanance. I have a 10g planted which I only add API leaf zone to but it does extrodanarily well which I chalk up to the high WPG and CO2 injection.

So can someone enlighten me on how a semi to heavily planted tank would do in a 300g tank with co2 injection and good WPG (around 3 to 3.5) only using API leaf zone (for iron and potassium)

I plan on the drs foster and smith co2 system for up 500g aquariums.

Is a full grown bala shark okay in a 70 galon aquarium?

discus fish?

my local fish shop sells discus fish of all sizes from small to massive, i have reasearched on a few sites that the care for these fish is moderate(not easy but not hard) and i am caring for fish of also moderate care, but some people say these are difficult fish to care for, my local sho keeps them fine and looking great, and fish isnt their ment business, could i keep a small discus in my 56ltr aquarium with neon tetras, guppies,pepper corys?

My Twin Tailed goldfish has black on the tips of its fins and stays at the bottom of the aquarium and in the reef ornament. He/She doesn’t even get up to get food. What is the matter? Please help!
