Fish breeding? HELP what to do, i think they are Convicts?

I have a two 55g tanks and one is a chiclid tank. I noticed today in the chiclid tank that there are lots of small tadpole looking things (mostly just eyes) wiggling inside one of my aquarium ornaments, and I notice one convict )its dark with black stripes) is guarding the outside and so is another convict (its solid white). Though they are acting like the parents, Im not sure if they can even breed being two different kinds, but hey are picking up rocks and attempting to hide them or something.

If you know anything about fish breeding or if I am wrong please tell me, I would like some advice on what I should do next since I didn’t do anything at all. Oh also my tank has other chiclids in there but they are all staying on the other side of the tank. any info helps thanks!

I want to get a tang for my aquarium too. Which tang that fits would be best for the job?

What aspect of biology is the death of Ralph the whale shark (GA Aquarium) related to?

I have to write a report on an article about his death, and explain what aspect of biology it is related to. I am very confused about this and any help would be appreciated. Thank you. =]

20 gallon aquarium, is it over stocked?

A pair of swordtails. 3 balloon mollies. 2 dwarf gouramis.

Overstocked? No bullcrap answers from people please. I just need a simple yes or no answer, and a bit of advice.

I’m just checking if i can actually put a school of tetras in there, probably 6 of them.
mine is actually a 25 gallon, but there is a small leak near towards the top of the tank, so i dont fill it up. I cant fix up the leak, so its about 20 gallons of water now, probably a bit more.

Algae eater for a 29 gallon aquarium?

I have a 29 gallon aquarium with a huge yellow angelfish and 5 harlequin rasboras… I was just wondering what type of algae eater I could get? I don’t want anything that’ll eventually outgrow the tank or bully the rasboras. I was looking into a siamese algae eater, but I’m thinking they get aggressive when they mature just like the chinese algae eater. Plecos get huge… any help?
Okay, cool. I’ll check into the Otos. I think the angelfish will put the Otos in their place if they try to mess with him; he’s crazy.

I actually used to have a huge golden apple snail, haha. I had a 14 gallon aquarium at the time and it got so huge, I had to give it to my friend.

Thanks to both of you for the help!
Yeah, I’ve seen on some sites that the SAE is totally different from the CAE and then I’ve seen on other sites they’re about the same. It gets kind of aggravating, so I don’t know. I probably won’t worry with those.

I actually have driftwood in my aquarium.

The bristlenose is pretty weird looking, haha. I didn’t really look into those because of that!

I was going to get a few of those Otos since they’re small and like to be in schools. I just hope they don’t try to aggravate the angelfish much.

Thanks for the help again.
