I have a 55 gallon reef aquarium and the other day and again today I noticed a tiny creature that moves very slow around my live rock. It is very small so i had trouble taking a decent photo of it, but the genral description is as follows…
The creature appears to be soft and appears light tannish in color under half daylight and half actinic light provided by a 260 watt CF lighting fixture. it is flat on the bottom and has a hump in the middle on top. it has some minor brownish/dark tannish markings but they are hard to see. The creature is triangular in shape with points that slightly extend outward from the body almost like stubby legs. It almost looks like a three legged starfish? Yeah, strange, i know. Can anybody give me any idea what this might be so I can google it further? Thank you.
Again, this is a tiny creature that appears to look like a starfish with only three legs. It also appears to be soft. I would say it looks similar to a slug, but instead of being oval, it appears more like a triangle with rounded corners, hence i say it’s kinda like a three legged creature. It has a flat bottom that sticks to the live rock, just like a starfish. Crabs have 8 legs and 2 arms and are hard, being as they have a shell. This is not a crab or anything remotely close to a crab, but thanks anyway.
