my family and i are trying to decide a place to go.
i like the ocean a lot, i love lying on the beaches.
but im not interested in snorkeling or underwater activities.
i like somewhere with good weather, great tourists sites, and just overall fun things to do. i’ve been to chicago before, and i loved all of the places to go like the aquarium and interesting shopping. but this time around i would like somewhere tropical.
(the real world CANCUN looks like heaven)
and last but not least, i am not into biking, hiking for 10 miles, or anything very strenuous and athletic.
thanks!
I want to start an aquarium and I need some advice. I plan on getting a 20 gallon glass aquarium. I do want some live plants but I don’t want to go over board since I’m unexperienced with them. Just a few and then add some nice fake ones. For the plants I’m not sure what easy starter ones would be the best. I’ve seen grass and clover and I would also like some tall plants but I’m not sure if these would be the best. Next, I’m not sure what type of gravel to get I definately don’t want sand but other than that what sould I get and what color would you recommend. The type of fish I definatly want to put in the tank would be a betta and then I can’t decide between these: Platies, zebra danios, cherry barbs, cory cats, gold barbs, white clouds, swordtails, lemon tetra, blood fins, glowlights, serpae tetras and a fish that cleans the algea. Which of the fish and how many would be the best for a 20 gallon betta aquarium. I read that I need to heat the aquarium for the betta for which fish
would listed above would do good in a heated aquarium? And what type of lighting would do well with this type of aquarium.
i saw someone ask this, and i TOO have a tub of goldfish flakes im not using… Could i possibly feed these goldfish flakes to my tropical fish? Neon tetras, Guppies, Mollies, swordtails, platies, etc.
Now, sure the PICTURE says what fish… but both are omnivore fish. Am i right?
Also, the back packaging pretty much says the same as the tropical fish food flakes… Fish meal, some other shrimp, etc…
So… can it work as an alternative?
thanks

3+ Special breeding (my best accomplishment was mixing mollies with platies, and swordtails with mollies… Yes…)
We’ve had a few fish die in our 30 gallon freshwater tank. Then, we used a test strip in the water and found out that the nitrite levels were off the chart! Any suggestions on products or what to do to reduce the nitrite levels?
