Whats the smallest varietes of tropical cleaner type fish I can get? I want one that ideally deals with the waste products. Of course I have a biological filter and I do weekly water changes but I would like a helping hand breaking down the waste. The smaller the better really as it’s getting to the full stage in the tank.

I’m looking for a good all around water conditioner, one that treats the water for everything (ph, alkalinity, stresscoat, water hardness, etc). I have very hard water and I need to maintain a ph of 7.2 for my oscar. Any info on water conditioning for oscars would be great as well.

I already got an Algea eater. I want the fish that can eat the other fish’s egesta.

Also, what should I feed my snails? Can my snails eat the same food as Algea eater?

I understand that I will need to seriously upgrade the tank later but my current setup is as follows:
65gal AGA
Magnum 350 BioPro
Coralife CF lighting @ 3wpg
20w substrate heater
Current 1/10hp chiller
All natural homemade driftwood and decor (freshwater lake style)
Low dose CO2

I have no problem maintaining ph and if neccisary I will go with a pressurized Co2 w/ ph regulator to maintain the optimum ph of 6.8. The problem is with the temp. I have done the math and have found that with the ambiant temperature, lighting and sub heater, I can only maintain a minimum temp of 68 deg. Can rainbow trout survive at these high temps? Going with a larger chiller is not possible due to cost of chiller and replacing my magnum filter (required flow rate).

If it is possible, what negative side effects can I expect? Do they require any other special conditions? What plants thrive in these temps?

Making a homemade co2 system for my aquarium?

O.k. This is what I want to know. Most of the articles I have read use a 2 liter bottle. Can I use a 1 liter and just use half of the measurements or do I have to use a 2 liter? Next, where is the best place to put the hose inside my tank. I would either put it in my powere head or an airstone next to my filter tube. What do you think is the best plave for it?
