Aquarium photo contest?!!!!!?

The winner will receive 30 points!! Here are the rules:

it must be a picture that YOU took
it must be of a fish tank WITH fish (but not necessarily only fish) in it.
THE FISH MUST BE FRESHWATER or brackish!!!!
the tank must be a freshwater tank, and I’ll accept BRACKISH water tanks too.
A SEPARATE SALTWATER FISH TANK contest will come later….

You will win if:

First and foremost, the tank set-up is “good-looking” (unique/beautiful fish, plants, good design, clear water and algae free substrate, etc….

The tank must be humane… (If you have a 1/2 gallon bowl with three male bettas or goldfish, etc., then I will NOT count your answer…)

IF there is no clear winner, then I will decide based on how you took the photograph, lighting, clarity, and if it is just an overall good photo of a good tank.

30 points to best answer!!!!

How can I get my aquariums nitrate levels down?

I have two goldfish in a 10 gallon tank. The nitrites are pretty low (below .25 ppm) but now at the end of the nitrogen cycle the nitrate levels have spiked. I did a 50 percent water change and vacuumed the gravel. I checked the nitrate again and it was above 130. My questions are, will the nitrate levels keep on rising after the nitrogen cycle, and how can i keep them down?
Also, I have been doing weekly water changes of 25 percent ( I try to use the vacuum to clean up the waste). And i have been cleaning all the decorations in the tank every two weeks.

Oscar fish tail has holes. Long question but I request answers por favor?

The holes are so tiny and look like bubbles in this picture, you may not be able to make them out, so I circled and pointed to them. He swims too fast to snap a good picture. Sorry about the quality.

They don’t seem to be enlarging any and have healed once already but they keep coming back. He also has little scars around his face and his frontal fin has a big white spot on it but I can’t tell if it’s on a ray or in the flesh, but that doesn’t look like a fungus and it certainly isn’t ich. It hasn’t gotten any worse/better.

He swims just fine and is eating like a pro. I feed him Hikari Cichlid Staple and used to supplement that with baby shrimp, but I had to get rid of it yesterday. Sometimes I feed him freeze-dried blood worms as a treat. I don’t have a good, working testing kit to test his water, but I’d bet my life it’s good because I change at least 10-15% and vacuum a little bit every week. He’s in a 60 gallon aquarium by himself with rock decor (only two big, smooth rocks and two little smooth ones) and an inch of gravel, and his water stays usually around 78 degrees F.

My question is is he just injuring himself on stuff or is he sick? He’s had this for a while now (few weeks since I first noticed and I’ve kept an eye on it).

Let it be known that it’s my first Oscar and I’ve had him for four months or so. I’ve included everything about my fish so you have something to go on. I decided to write this essay because I’ve had my fair share of tragic, unfair fish deaths.

How often should the water in a 2.5 gallon aquarium housing four small fish be changed?

Also, how often should the water be changed in a 1 gallon aquarium holding one betta?
Both have undergravel filters.

I am buying a ball python and own a 20 gal aquarium. Is this okay for a baby? And how long will it last?

The aquarium is 24 inches long. I have heard that it will be ok for a young snake and should last about a year. Is this correct?

Does my aquarium really need a light?

i have guppies, neon tetras, and a pleco catfish :) They all seem fine without an aquarium light, as it stopped working and even after buying an expensive new bulb wouldnt work.
The room is quite dark…Does my aquarium really NEED a light?

small saltwater aquarium setup?

I’m going to be getting one of those 12 gallon bio cube, nano cube or aquapod setups; not sure which one though yet.

What I want to ask is what kind of small and easy to keep marine fish is there that doesn’t pay a lot of attention to its owner. I mean like a fish that isn’t all up on the glass, I want a fish that is kind of shy and “minds its own business.” Also, I want it to be compatible with the scooter blenny because I want to get that fish because it looks so cool.

Would keeping corals and anenomes be ok in these little compact tanks, what kind of inverts should i keep?

ps-really excited to make a perfect little ecosystem
i want like a slow, peaceful moving fish, but not a drifter. Damsels move to fast, you really can’t enjoy its beauty
