whats a cheap way to aquascape my aquarium?

I want to stack rocks into a cave formation in my 30 gallon hex, but the rocks at the pet shop are way too expensive. And the plastic ones look stupid. Any ideas

Is it possible to study sharks in an aquarium environment?

Um..yeah I am serious. I wouldn’t ask if I wasn’t. I’m just curious because I don’t live on the coast.
Oh and by the way..if you’re unable to give me an actual answer, please do not simply drabble. Thanks.

20 gallon tall aquarium. what fish can i house in it?

ok so i was thinking about buying a 20 gallon tall hexagon style fish tank from a buddy of mine and i was wondering what fish could i house in it? i was thinking about 3 angel fish (fresh water) any suggestions this is like the 3rd time having an aquarium setup not this large though… I have taken care of a few fish like mollies, goldfish etc. and i was thinking of getting maybe a few cichlids. any tips, is 2-3 angelfish ok for a 20g tall tank. or should i get differnt fish?(i’m fine with only getting 1-2 angel fish)
“i always liked guppies”
lol i’m sorry that was funny
i am buying like plants and those little sunken ship and stuff for the fish to hide.
and my buddy is giving me the tank stand and hood(with light) the rest i’m buying.

when is it the right time to add plecos, bottomfeeders, etc. to my aquarium?

i have a 10 gallon aquarium, right now there are 5 tetras and 5 guppies. when is it the right time to add plecos, catfish, african dwarf frogs, and zebra danios?
people its not that much fish! the guppies and tetras are like half an inch long and i’ve had them for a while their not getting any biggerr…..
also snails reproduce soo quick. if you buy one, next thing you know there’s 20 in your tank! they can reproduce asexually.

am i overreacting to my aquarium?

I have a 29 gallon aquarium with black sealant and i just bought it two days ago. I got the filter, gravel, decor and plastic plants up and filled it with water. everything you were suppose to do before putting fish in it. added some AFI aquarium salt and water conditioner. my concern is, when i was taping the background, i noticed a small chip on the inside of the tank where the corners are, its in the middle of the tank, and its covered by the black sealant and its about the size of half of the top of a pencil eraser. should i be worried about it cracking and leaking later or am i over reacting to something minor? it looks like whoever made it, a small piece of glass chipped off and he still used it to make the aquarium. i bought it from petsmart and it has no leaks at all. Ive been checking up on it atleast 5 times a day and it doesnt seem to get bigger. i mean it is inside the sealant so it shouldnt get any worse right?
i was thinking about adding more sealant to add a second coating, but im not sealanter and it does look very nice with just the black on the edges, i know for a fact i would get the sealant messy in that spot and might regret it later while looking at it. i know i would do this because when im bored with hot glue, i end up making hot glue figurines like a snowman or just alot of strings of hot glue. lol. its quite amusing
