Is my emperor scorpion sick or just weird?

Ok so I bought an emperor scorpion about a week and half ago and since I bought it it just stays underneath this hollowed out log thing I got for it. I mean I have never seen it come out from underneath the log at all since I put it in the aquarium. It may have drank some water but I don’t think it’s eaten at all. Did I buy a sick scorpion or is there something else I’m missing? The tank is at a good temperature and I take care of it so I just don’t know. Any help would be appreciated.

are there small freshwater fish from the caribbean islands suitable for a 100 gallon aquarium?

Algae Eaters–Oto, bushynose pleco, or Cory Cats for me?

10 gallon aquarium with no live plants and plenty of cover…i want the fish to stay small and eat algae. I have a common pleco in a 300 gallon tank, but im not sure wut is the best option to put in my daughter’s 10 gallon tank.
Cory cats are scavengers and will help keep tank clean…and WILL eat algae buddy

What fish should I put in my aquarium?

I have an 8 gallon freshwater aquarium. I have had this for 2 years but only had 2 black tetras for the past year!! (not because they have died but I just dont know what else to add!) The tank was pretty grubby (because of algae, I used things to try and get rid of it such as chemicals, having the light on less, more cleaning but it always came straight back) so today I have totally redone my tank, completely cleaned, new gravel ect. I have put in the cycle products and aqua safe as well as something which let me add my fish straight away. I have also put in 2 oxygen stones for aeration. I don’t plan on adding any more fish straight away as I know I need to give my tank a chance to cycle and am hoping my hardy little tetras will survive but I would appreciate any suggestions on what fish to add when its safe to and how many I should add!
I quite like the idea of an african dwarf frog and shrimp.
I have tried researching what fish is best together but its quite confusing as a lot of it seems to look at larger tanks!
Some say the 1 inch per gallon rule works well and others contradict it so im just not sure. Any advice is greatly appreciated! I want a varied tank with as much activity as possible but I also want healthy happy fish!

What’s the difference – glass aquarium hoods?

Can anyone tell what the difference is between these two glass aquarium hoods? That would make such a difference in price? They’re using the exact same photo for each…

One is the “All Glass Versa Top”

And the other is a “All Glass Twin Tube Versa Top”

We’re not sure, but it seems like perhaps one is hinged down the middle 50-50 and the other has a smaller flap that lifts up to accomodate wider light fixtures? Is that right?

is it cheaper to buy an aquarium set up or buy the tank and filter ect. separately?

I am looking for a 20 gallon. thank you :)
