ok i was going to take a incandescant hood for the 10 gallon aquarium and cut off the extra plastic. stick some flourescent bulbs in and then buy a recessed hood and put in an actinic bulb can i put coral under this lighting… mushrooms, green star polyps, and zoos.
where can i get these 20 watt 50/50 lights. I have seen them before but not at a store only online.

It’s easier than that buy from coralife two 50/50 mini compacts 20watts and just screw the bulbs into the incandescent hood bulb sockets. This light should be enough for most soft and some hard corals.
make sure you get enough air circulation so it does not overheat the tank you want the heater to control the temperature.you will need around 5-6 watts per gallon so you will need 50 -60 watts of light with full spectrum
Coralife sells an amazing 96 watt 50/50 fixture. I love it, it looks nice and sleek and it is very bright. You’re gonna want the 20 inch one. Available from Drs. Foster and Smith.
I didnt see a 96 watt 50/50 fixture from drsfoster by coralife, thats 20 inches.
Check out this site, i’ll post a link at the bottom. it has a light there that is good for a 10 gallon.
