This is my biggest planted aquarium to date. Since starting the planted aquarium hobby, one of my favorite things to do are growing different types of plants. I find it important to take the time to learn the way plants grow and a great way of doing that is setting up a collectoritis style planted aquarium. Allowing yourself to become more experienced with different species of plants will help you in the long run and help you determine what types of plants are best suited for your water conditions, equipment setup, and the duration of your aquascape. Some plants may grow faster than others and will require frequent trimming, whereas some plants may need a specific water parameter in order to thrive well. If you aren’t sure how well a plant will do or look in your aquascape, try growing it in a separate aquarium and find out how it grows for you.

Like I need help with how much hermit crabs cost at Pet co/Pet smart and what should I buy for the crab and any additional information like a “how to take care of a hermit crab”. Thanks
And do they need salt water for drinking or salt water for swiming in?

depending on the size i have worked at both stores and petsmart only sells one size either fancy (painted shell) $ 7 or regular $ 5 and a t petco they have sm med lg not sure on the prices but yes u do want to give them a salt supplement i have seen lots survive without it but its better if they have it in my opinion. oh and os. for anyone out there not sure which store is better from first hand experience petsmart is a way better store than petco they are cheaper and take better care of their animals every store is different but the policies that each store must abide my are way better at petsmart.

She’s brown all over, and I think she is an Ecuadorian. Do Ecuadorian hermit crabs have any specific needs? Is it okay to keep an Ecuadorian with a Purple pincher? I can’t paste a picture, but if you go to google and type in “Ecuadorian hermit crab” go to images and she’s looks a lot like the farthest one on the right and the second one on the top. !

Most likely you do not have an Ecuadorian Hermit Crab. You probably do have Purple Pincher, but it’s just malnourished. Ecuadorian Hermit Crabs are much more expensive than a Purple Pincher. Did you buy it for under 10 dollars? Then it most likely is a Purple Pincher. But If there is a chance that you do have a Ecuadorian, they do need a different type of caring-for than a purple pincher. I reccomend that you just google Ecuadorian Crab Care sheet. You can find all of this out on google.

I could tell you every spec of information you needed all hand written in my own words if for sure you had a Purple Pincher, but sadly, I don’t know if you do.

What is the best way to clean the fish tank itself, the little artificial flowers & bridges, etc. before starting over with new fish? Tks. p.s. one by one the fish began to die – 11 of them in a 10 gal. tank.

take out all decorations and scrub them with as hot of water as you can stand. do the same for the inside of the tank and the filter.

I know I post a lot of Gears of War videos, but I have a lot of other interests too. A recent article on the extinction of the Bajii Dolphin got me wanting to make this video. I hope you enjoy.
